Hello sleeping in!

As I've mentioned in a previous post, I don't really like the holidays, but I am looking forward to sleeping in. There is nothing I hate more than waking up 5 minutes before my alarm is to go off knowing I have to wake up soon. The snooze button is one of my greatest friends yet it usually ends up screwing me over when I look like crap all day because I had no time to get ready. Its just really hard to wake up in the morning!
I hate getting out of my bed. I have one of these athletic matresses so it's really damn comfy. Even my friends say it is super hard to get out of. On weekend days that I don't work, I can sleep till like 3 in the afternoon. It also helps that my room is extremely dark due to the fact that my only window is covered by a black sheet.
So even though theres a lot of things I hate about the Christmas holidays, I just can't wait to get to sleep in till the early afternoon in my nice warm bed. That, and all the food my ma is gunna make! :)

The Who that Grinched Chrtistmas?

Well, the question as to whether I am more of a Grinch or a Who poses a slight problem. You see, I seem to change according to how close D-day is approaching. Up until about the... 24th... I am a complete GRINCH. Like, I HATE shopping. I am almost always behind on it. So I get to rush around for a couple weeks trying to think of all the people I have to buy gifts for. Can you say STRESSFUL? I could also go without getting guilt trips from my lovely Father who likes to make me feel like S**T for not spending the holidays down there. I'm sorry but I cannot come up with one good reason as to why I would rather spend the holidays with Mr. Grumpy and do absolutely nothing Christmas-y at all when I can chill with my fam jam and eat craploads of awesome food and watch movies.
When all that stuff finally comes to an end, theres no stopping all the fricken joy that radiates from me, usually around Christmas Eve when I can just chill and have no more worries. We usually watch National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. Its pretty much tradition. My mom always makes caramel corn and cookies and sooooooo much food that I pretty much double my current body weight. Then when Christmas morning finally comes, me and my sister wake my little brother up first, just to tell him Santa came! We all then go jump on the parents and wake them up. I know its quite childish, but its tradition. I'll prolly still do it when I have my own family! :)

I am 'Mystery Activity' Free!!

I have made a wonderful choice that I think will benefit me quite well. Now, I'm not going to say exactly what that would be, for reasons that would be obvious if I did mention it, but I am going to somehow explain the benefits I hope to get from it. Yesterday as I was just chillin in english class, I started to want to pass out really bad. I was feeling really tired and could barely keep my eyes open, and I knew why. Right then and there, I decided to stop doing what it was that made me feel like that. I gave all the paraphenelia to my dearly trusted friend to reduce the temptation to engage in the mystery activity. Hopefully, I will lose all the weight I gained from some of the side effects of this activity. I also hope to heal some of the organs affected by this.

One of the main reasons I want to stop doing this is because I now see how it affects my mind and that affects my grades. I really want to graduate this year and have good enough grades to go to college and make something of myself, and this activity is getting in the way of that. So I would like to declare to the writers craft class that I, Courtney Leeann Duczman, am mystery activity free as of December 3rd, 2010!!

Letters of Note and Huffington Post..

Looking at the websites lettersofnote.com and huffingtonpost.com, I came to a few conclusions. First being that Letters of Note looks a lot more organized than Huffington Post, but it is also a lot more bland and boring. Huffington Post, on the other hand, has pictures and random links everywhere and I don't like how unorganized it looks, although it is a bit more interesting because it has a lot of pictures. If I had to choose one website to be named number one, I think I would choose Letters of Note because I think I have a slight case of OCD and get very irritated when things aren't organized. The site could maybe use a little colour and more intersting pictures, but I like how it is all in one straight line down the page instead of random blocks placed all over the place.
